Hi, I'm in the making of an animated spray for CSS/TF2 and is the first time I have used Photoshop to create one. I have seen some tutorials on how to make GIFs with Photoshop and it has pretty much been successful. And now all I need is to export all the pictures that will then be used to make the animated spray. I press 'Export Layers to Files', and it successfully extracts the pictures into a folder, but it doesn't save the text I created in Photoshop that I put on the pictures. (So basically they're the plain unedited versions of the pictures.
It doesn't save anything edited in Photoshop.) If anyone could help I'd appreciate it. Submitter 6y.Posted by. Please stop calling it a 'GIF spray', that's not a thing, it's an animated spray. Have you tried using the timeline? Ah, sorry, I forgot about animated spray.Posted by. This is what I've had to do, so I don't know if there's another way to do it. I'm pretty much new to Photoshop. How do you merge text to a layer? Select the desired layers, and then hit Ctrl+E. It'll merge the selected layers.
I'm still not quite getting it. I select the layers that have the text and emerging them, but then they just turn into a checkered background with only the text showing. I'm obviously doing something wrong. It's supposed to do that, they are separate layers after merging them. However, if the text isn't animated, then you need to take each text layer and merge them to one of the image layers so that they will appear with the rest of the animation.
If there are less text layers than image layers (for example, 1 text layer and 5 image layers), then you need to duplicate your text layers so that there are an equal amount of text and image layers, if not more text layers than image layers (assuming it's going to be a spray that has the words pop in on each frame of the animation). I just really don't know what to do, I suck at Photoshop and have no idea what option you put to do, lol. But I'll just open up one picture at a time and edit them. Thanks anyways.:P.
